Practice settings: patient education

The global template feature allows you to create practice-wide templates that contain a predefined collection of animations.

Then you or a colleague can assign a template to a patient from their Patient Education panel or by using the content auto-assignment tools in Practice Settings.

Create a global template

  1. Go to Practice > Practice Settings > Patient Education > Global Templates
  2. Select Create Template  
  3. Browse the available animations, and select Insert to add them to your playlist  
  4. Optional: Drag and drop animations to customize their order or double-click an animation to set custom start and end points
  5. To change the name of the template, type over the default title in the top right.
  6. To remove an animation from the playlist, select Red circle icon. on the animation.  
  7. Select Preview Playlist to watch the selected animations in order
  8. Select Save to add the animation playlist as a global template

Now when you start assigning an animation to a patient, your new global template appears in the list under Available Templates.

Create a global template from a patient template

You can also create Global Templates from patient animation playlists that you've already assigned to individual patients.

  1. Go to Practice > Practice Settings > Patient Education > Global Templates
  2. Under the Patient Templates heading, use the filter to search for existing Patient Templates
  3. Hover over the name of the template you want to make global and select Copy to Global Template  

Now when you start assigning an animation to a patient, your new global template appears in the list under Available Templates.
