Orthodontic charting overview

To find the orthodontic charting tools, go to Patient > Charting > Orthodontic.

The important tools to have available in your workspace are the:

• Orthodontic Procedure List panel
• Progress Notes panel
• Ortho tab of the patient sidebar

The orthodontic workspace is unique because it is centred around creating an Orthodontic Treatment Plan that you use to:

• Plan and track overall treatment progress.
• Enter data for each visit.
• Complete progress notes for each visit.
• Check the revenue schedule based on the estimated treatment length.

You can create a draft orthodontic treatment plan in order to confirm details with your patient before making the plan active.

The patient must have an orthodontic treatment plan before you can enter data into their orthodontic procedure list.
