Document Templates

  • To allow for more flexibility in creating Non Orthodontic Payment Plan Contracts, there is now a question type "Non Ortho Payment Plan Treatments". The table will contain the following information: Treatment Date (empty for planned treatment), Procedure Code, Description, Site, Surface, Status, and Amount (Amount in the Payment Plan, not the full charge amount). It will be ordered by treatment date, starting with oldest and ending with any planned procedures.

Reporting

  • Insurance Outstanding report type has been added to the Financials area.
    • Under Insurance Outstanding Search Fields, the options include: Outstanding Balance (OB) Amount, EOB Credit Amount, and Refund Credit Amount.
    • Other search options relate to the Insurance Payer Address Fields (e.g. Name, Uses E-Submission, etc).
    • Reporting display options include: Outstanding Amount, EOB Credit and/or Refund Credit, any of the Insurance Payer Address Search fields, and Clinic Group Title.
    • Group by options on Aggregate & Chart reports include: Clinic Group Title and Insurance Payer Address Name.

E-Submissions

  • From the Patient Financials area, users can now see which procedures have been added to the electronic insurance claims queue.
  • Submission of secondary insurance claims in an insurance batch to Change Health.

Financials & Insurance

  • Added the ability to collapse payment plans so that only the headers are visible, which is very helpful when viewing a patient with multiple payment plans.
  • From Financials Automated Tasks in Practice Settings, there is a new automated task "Expire Insurance Policy job". This task reviews for insurance policies whose end date has passed and then ensures that the order of policies is updated to reflect the new expired policy.
  • Predeterminations opened from Charting will now show From/To dates so that a clinician can easily note when a predetermination is expiring.
  • While editing a claim in the electronic queue, the fee on the claim can now be updated similar to the review process for the paper queue.

Reporting

  • The detailed results from a report are now limited to 10,000 items. The report will run and a warning will appear to indicate that the data was restricted to 10,000 items and users can refine the search fields to produce a more specific report.
  • The following updates were made to the Income Report (Financials):
    • Financials Payment Search Fields expanded to include: Payment Location, Posting Date, Payment Description, Payment Authorization Number, Payment Method, Entered By Provider, Lockbox Name, Batch Number, Transaction Number, and Deposit Date.
    • New search sections "Insurance Payer" and "Insurance Payer Address" which include the fields: Payer Name, Payer Type, Policy Type, Address Name, Address Abbreviation, Generate Claim on Each Ortho Charge, Uses Electronic Submission, and Uses Electronic Predetermination.
    • Group By Options expanded to include: Posting Date, Lockbox, Batch Number, and Payment Date.

  • Small improvements have been implemented throughout the system.

Financials

  • Fixed issue of the icon for a draft contract remaining after the insurance schedule was cancelled.

Treatment Planning

  • Fixed the issue when using "Save and Add New" for a procedure attached to a finding, the system now applies the code intelligence rules when auto-filling a surface for the next procedure.

ICE Help

  • The Knowledge Base home page is now displayed inside ICE under References > ICE Help, rather than opening in a new browser tab.
  • Selecting the ICE help icon (header or footer) will now redirect to References > ICE Help.
  • There is now a Knowledge Base panel available from the Provider Dashboard that displays the Knowledge Base homepage.
    • This panel can be resized and floated so that you can browse support materials while working in ICE.
  • For almost every Panel in the ICE system a "Help" option has been added to the Panel Menu. When selected, a relevant article from the Knowledge Base will open beside the panel. From this pop-out, you can still navigate to other areas within the Knowledge Base using the Search box or by selecting the menu icon in the top left corner. There is an arrow icon that will open the article in a new browser tab.

Telehealth

  • The Telehealth module has been rebuilt in a new, more robust framework that results in performance improvements.
    • New features include the ability to mute other participants and no longer requiring a Chrome extension to Screen Share.

Reporting

  • A "Run" button has been added to templates listed under ICE Templates and Shared Templates.
  • In Report panels, the currently active report template is now highlighted in the list of available templates when viewing from "Select Report Template".
  • Validation Report now includes the ability to search on whether items have been validated or not. This "Validation Status" is now an option in Search Fields and can be displayed in the results.

Treatment Planning

  • The filter options on the Odontogram & General Procedure List have been appropriately split into "Existing Diagnostic Findings" and "Existing Material Findings".

User Experience

  • Various improvements have been implemented throughout the system.

Fixed

Collaborations

  • Fixed an issue where a Collaboration would close when you click outside of that screen.
  • In the Collaborations panel, the collaborator list is now sorted alphabetically and the original sender's name is bolded.

Financials

  • Addressed some issues relating to Orthodontic and Non Orthodontic Contracts.

Orthodontic Charting

  • A Close button has been included in the bottom right of the Deferred Revenue Schedule window.
  • An orthodontic payment plan schedule date can now be set back as far as the start date of the treatment plan, unless a charge has already been generated.
  • Fixed the issue to correctly show that an orthodontic treatment plan has been paused in the sidebar.
  • Fixed issue where pause and resumption dates were not appearing on the treatment plan summary.

Practice Settings

  • Provider Groups now indicate a "Status" column for the providers included in the group. In addition, the table of all Provider Groups displays the number of active providers in each group.
  • The Code Exclusions table now defaults to sort ascending on Title.

Relationships

  • Ability to create and select an External Provider from the search when defining Relationships for a Patient, Provider, Individual or External Provider.

Scheduling

  • Clipboard will display full results when a filter is used (Patient search and/or Clipboard settings). When no filter is applied, the results are now limited to 10.
  • Fixed issue of being unable to open appointments from Patient Management > Scheduling > Next Visits.

Telehealth

  • Only Session Chair can now delete or add participants to a Telehealth session.
  • Resolved the screen sharing issue that occurred with the update to Chrome 72.

Validation

  • Addressed an issue for validation history using the mobile version.
